This applies to ALL equipment which is connected to the supply by 13 A plugs (BS1363), BS EN 60309-2 industrial plugs or hard wired to the fixed installation via a fused connection unit.
Examples of these are : soldering irons, hedge trimmers, hair dryers, fans, drills, washing machines, toasters, kitchen equipment, cookers, dish washers, electric fires, PC'S, printers, scanners, extension leads and many more....
Most businesses are effected by the regulations, Landlords, hairdressers, all types of manufacturers, schools, small shops, residential care homes, hotels, commercial catering equipment hire and more.
